Install Movie HD APK on Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora & Mint)

An android emulator is required to install any android application on a Windows PC. It’s a program that emulates Android OS and allows users to run Android apps on their computers. Bluestacks, Shlashlik, Nox, VMWare, PCSX2, Dolphin, NeonDS, and others are some of the most popular emulators available on the internet.

Most of these are compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. We’ll use Shashlik for this demonstration because it works with a variety of Linux distributions, including Fedora, Ubuntu, and Linux Mint. However, you can use any Android emulator you choose; the process is pretty much the same for all of them.

The procedure for installing the Movie HD app on your Linux device is outlined below. The procedure may appear complicated, but since you’re running Linux, I’m assuming you’ve already used the command prompt to run several tasks. Let’s walk through the steps now:

Note:- The ‘$’ sign in the process simply stands for the Linux command. Don’t mention anything about it while writing the commands; only write what comes after it.

  • Open a command prompt/shell and type the following instructions to create a folder:

$ mkdir ~/Apk

$ PATH=~/Apk:$PATH

  • After that, execute the following command to download the Movie HD Apk file to your device, or just click the link and save it to the “Apk” folder.

$ curl https://storage.googleapis.com/git-repo-downloads/repo > ~/Apk/Movie HD

$ chmod a+x ~/Apk/Movie HD

  • After you’ve completed the download, you’ll need to synchronise Movie HD with the manifest. As a result, use the following command to create a new directory.

$mkdir SHASHLIK

$cd SHASHLIK

$repo init -u https://github.com/shashlik/shashlik-manifest

$repo sync

  • Then, using the.sh file you downloaded, install the Shashlik software.

$source build/envsetup.sh

$make

  • Once Shashlik is installed, open it on your device to begin the Movie HD Apk installation procedure.
  • To do so, launch the Android emulator and navigate to the Downloads folder or the location where you saved Movie HD Apk.
  • Drag & drop the Apk file into the Shashlik emulator interface, then select Yes.
  • Allow it to install apps from unknown sources from settings>> App Permission if the UI shows any error or prompt message for “Unknown Sources.”
  • Now you can watch your favorite movies and TV series for free on Linux.
